Ophthalmology Research

Part of the academic mission of the Department of Ophthalmology is fostering and pursing research projects in ophthalmology. Our research projects range from the translational level to clinical research and multidisciplinary projects. We also participate in clinical trials with investigational pharmaceuticals that allow our department to both further clinical research and offer the latest technologies and treatments for a variety of eye diseases.
